Plymouth nurse set to open new aesthetics clinic despite COVID obstacles

Plymouth nurse to open new aesthetics clinic despite COVID obstacles.

Former ICU & hospice nurse Hannah Mary is realising her dream to become an aesthetics nurse. Having graduated in Adult Nursing from Plymouth University in 2014, Hannah has worked in both the NHS and the private sector, but throughout has always had the passion and desire to pursue aesthetics.

Despite the issues faced with COVID, 2020 was the year to make a change and found HM Aesthetics. Hannah explains: "Aesthetics has always been something I have been passionate about. For years I have been watching videos on aesthetics, reading articles on the latest products and procedures and following Vlogs about aesthetic practitioners. It was such a hard decision to leave traditional nursing as a career, but it was the right time and I am super excited at the potential journey this will take me on''.

HM Aesthetics provides treatments such as lip fillers, skin treatments & makeup in Plymouth. Not only is Hannah a qualified MUA & dermal filler practitioner, she is also a qualified and registered nurse.

"Being a nurse means that I am confident with making medical assessments, and I have the skills and equipment to deal with any issues that may arise.”

The clinic has been purpose built in her home, which is vital for emergency support.

“One of the potential issues with dermal fillers is that clients may have issues with the procedure a few hours afterwards. With the clinic being in my house, I am available immediately should there be an emergency. I am currently completing a complications course and I feel confident in the knowledge that should there be any issues, they can be sorted immediately."

HM Aesthetics officially opens Saturday 10th October and has spaces available for clients to be able to book in with Hannah for a consultation and to see the clinic.
