Plymouth woman found guilty of murdering Keith Dance

Following the three-week trial at Plymouth Crown Court, the jury have found a woman guilty of the murder of 33-year-old Keith Dance.

Police launched a murder enquiry in March 2013 following the discovery of Mr Dance's body in a property in Molesworth Road, Plymouth.

Gollop pleaded guilty to murder previously but Cooke went on trial.

Detective Inspector Costa Nassaris, Major Crime Investigation Team, said: “We are pleased with the verdict today at Plymouth Crown Court.

“This was a callous and brutal murder of Keith Dance which caused considerable shock in the community.

“Our condolences go to the family of Keith Dance at this difficult time, but we hope the fact that justice has been served will help them in their grieving.

“This was a complex case and the verdict today shows the diligence of detectives and staff to do everything possible to secure a conviction.

“Police contact with Mr Dance and the offenders prior to his death is currently subject to an independent IPCC investigation.

“We await the outcome of this and any recommendations the IPCC may make.”

Cooke and Gollop are due to be sentenced on Friday.
