Police appeal after man attempts to steal moped in Manadon

Police are appealing for information after a man attempted to steal a moped in Manadon, Plymouth on Wednesday 21 August.

A white man in dark clothing was seen attempting to steal a blue Kymco moped on St Peters Road just after midnight.

He failed in his attempts but due to the damage caused by the suspect, the bike is now inoperable.

Acting Detective Sergeant Jason Bryant, from the local investigation team, said: “The owner of the bike is devastated and we would like anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen a man acting suspiciously to get in touch.

“Although this bike was left secure, people are asked to be vigilant and keep their motorcycles locked and secure overnight.”
