Police appeal after Plymouth stabbing

Plymouth Detectives are seeking information in relation to a number of linked incidents which occurred on the Barbican area of Plymouth just after midnight on Sunday 6th December.

Within a matter of minutes a man is believed to have undertaken two separate robberies; one near to Arriba’s restaurant in Notte Street and the other between the Parade and Southside Street next to the Ship public house. On both occasions mobile phones were stolen from the male victims.

A short while later it is believed that the suspect in these matters was confronted by members of the public at the junction of Looe Street and Vauxhall Street near Sizzling China Restaurant, where one of them received stab wounds whilst trying to detain the man. A 25-year-old local man remains in intensive care.

Police are keen to speak with the man in the following images in connection with these incidents. We would also like speak anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have witnessed either the thefts or the altercation which led to the stabbing.
