Police appeal for witnesses to Armada Street hit-and-run
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was hospitalised in a hit-and-run incident in Plymouth.
On Friday 2 August at around 4.20pm, the victim was walking along Armada Street in the North Hill area of the city when he was struck by a car, which then drove off.
The 33-year-old local man was taken to Derriford Hospital, where he remains, receiving treatment for a broken leg and ankle.
Police are now looking to speak to the driver of a car, possibly a green Audi, in connection with the incident.
A police spokesman said: “This is an unusual incident, the road is a side road in a residential area and we are hoping that someone has witnessed this – particularly given the time of day when this occurred.”
