Police appeal for witnesses to Torpoint club assault

Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault that took place in Torpoint on Saturday 1 June.

A 20-year-old local man was allegedly assaulted by another man at the Harbour Lights club in the town just after midnight.

The victim was grabbed by the throat and lost consciousness as a result.

The suspect is described as a white man in his mid thirties, of large build and was wearing a grey jumper and jeans.

Police are investigating the incident. PC Lugger said: “The club was busy at the time of the incident and we are keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened.”
