Police issue city sexual assault suspect appeal

Police have issued images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with a sexual assault in Plymouth.

The incident took place in New George Street at around 7pm on July 13.

The victim, an 18-year-old woman local to Plymouth was sat on a bench near to Debenhams and McDonald's with her partner when they were approached by the suspect who sat down next to her and then leant over and kissed her on the neck.

The suspect then walked off and returned a short while later and walked up to the victim and leant down to her and kissed her in the cleavage area before being pushed away by the victim and her partner.

The two images are taken from cameras at Tesco, New George Street and show a male matching the description of the suspect.
