Police say no weapon recovered after city armed police arrests
Police were called to an incident in Plymouth yesterday, Wednesday 5 June 2013, after a man in his 20s and a teenage woman were threatened in the street by three men.
Police say the incident took place in Cotehele Avenue, Prince Rock at around 1315 hours.
It was believed at the time that one of the three suspects may have had a firearm, but police say no weapon has been recovered.
Due to the reports of a firearm, police units, including armed officers and the force helicopter, were dispatched to the area and searched for the three men.
All three were located and arrested a short time later.
No-one was harmed throughout the incident.
A 19-year-old from Plymouth, a 24-year-old from Liverpool and a 29-year-old of no fixed abode, who were arrested following this incident, have subsequently been released on Police bail.
