Police seek witnesses to assault on young Plymouth woman

Witnesses are sought by police after a 19-year-old woman was assaulted in a Plymouth street on Monday 15 July.

The woman was walking on Culver Way in Eggbuckland when she was approached from behind by an unknown man who threw her to the ground and punched her several times.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the man in the area at the time of the assault, between 9pm and 9.30pm on Monday 15 July.

He is described as white, in his 20s, tall in height with fair hair and fair skin. He was wearing a black hoody with a puffa jacket on top and he may have been wearing black gloves.

The victim, from Plymouth, received minor injuries and was treated at Derriford Hospital but released later the same day.
