Purse stolen in Plymouth robbery
Police are seeking information following a robbery in Plymouth where a woman had her purse stolen.
The incident happened in an alleyway near Penrose Street and Oxford Street around 6pm on Wednesday 12 February.
The 23-year-old woman was approached from behind by a man who grabbed hold of her handbag and demanded it from her.
When she turned around he punched her in the face causing her to stumble and let go of her bag.
He then grabbed her wallet from the bag and ran off. The purse contained around £90 cash and various bank and store cards.
The Plymouth woman suffered a cut to her nose and two black eyes in the incident.
Police are seeking the suspect who is described as a white man in his early 20s, around 5ft 8ins tall, and of slim build with dark brown hair.
He was wearing a black shiny waist length jacket done up to the neck and possibly dark leather trousers. He smelled heavily of deodorant.
