South east Cornwall residents given opportunity to re-claim stolen items
South east Cornwall residents who have been victims of burglaries in recent months are being given the opportunity to visit Saltash police station this weekend to see if some of the recovered items police have belong to them.
Detective Constable Mike Lugger said: “Over this coming weekend, Saturday 10 August and Sunday 11 August, officers will be at Saltash police station between 9am and 7pm. Anyone who’s been burgled is invited to pop in to see if we have some of their belongings.
“Specifically people who’ve been burgled since early April up until late June this year. The sort of things we have include garden machinery and tools, battery and electrical power tools, welding equipment, surfboards and wet suits along with hand tools.
“Obviously people will need to have proof that the items the police have in their possession belong to them, but we hope we can reunite some of these things with their owners.”
