St Luke’s treasures a community’s memories

St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth is encouraging people to make, share and treasure precious memories this spring with dedications to those we’ve lost in their memorial garden on Plymouth Hoe.

The much-loved local charity just launched its annual Forget-Me-Not campaign, this year, which runs until the end of April. This is an opportunity for supporters old and new to honour the memory of a loved one with a dedication on memorial boards which will be placed against the backdrop of an idyllic blue and white garden on Plymouth Hoe.

Emma Winter, Senior Events Fundraiser at St Luke’s explained, “The memorial boards are my favourite part of this memorial campaign. They sit in front of our stunning Forget-Me-Not garden and are really an elegant way to hold a memory close. But it’s more than just a memory, we’re bringing people together to share their time and thoughts.”

The boards and garden will be available for visits from 1 April and a memorial trail to dedicate the display will be held on Plymouth Hoe’s promenade on 3 April at 2pm. These will include poetry, opportunities for reflection and a chance to recall the work and impact of St Luke’s.
