Successful Lodge Meeting Of Pride Of The West With Saint Andrew’s Oddfellows
Members of the Pride of the West with Saint Andrews’s Oddfellows Lodge, part of the Plymouth and Truro District, have held a successful April meeting in the Saint Budeaux Community Centre, Plymouth
Under the chairmanship of Brenda Lowe, now Noble Grand of the Plymouth Lodge, following an opening ceremony, a brisk and well conducted meeting dealt with an agenda which considered welfare and financial support for members in need, finances, future charitable donations to local groups and arrangements for the successful Oddfellows Sunday Lunch group which has run by member Katherine Hicks-Jane for many years.
Michael Harper reported that the most recent lunch held at the Boringdon Park Golf Club in Plymouth had been an excellent occasion very much enjoyed by the large number attending and all were looking forward to the next Sunday meal planned to occur at the Staddiscombe Golf Course’s restaurant.
Light refreshments were served after the Lodge meeting and a very sociable afternoon followed.
Meeting for a variety of activities in Plymouth, Truro, Redruth and other locations and with all the benefits of a well-established friendly society, the Oddfellows always welcomes new members of all ages and genders.
