Two-week patching programme will repair another 11 roads
Plymouth CIty Council has announced another two-week patching programme gets under way on Monday to repair another 17 sites on 11 roads around Plymouth.
Patching involves resurfacing areas of road where multiple potholes have developed and the general surface quality is deteriorating. Amey, Plymouth City Council’s highways contractor, is carrying out the work.
This is the second phase of patching works, with the first completed in July. It is being carried out alongside the five-month programme of resurfacing on whole roads and large sections of road, which started in July and will be finished in November.
Both the patching and resurfacing programmes form part of the additional £2 million investment the Council has pledged to make in road maintenance every year for the next decade.
This latest phase of patching works will run from Monday 16 to Thursday 26 September. Amey’s street inspectors selected and prioritised roads for patching based on which are the most damaged.
