Woman dies after fall from Drake Circus car park

A woman who fell from level five of the Drake Circus car park in Plymouth this morning (Wednesday 12 June) has died from her injuries in Derriford Hospital.

Police say her family was with her when she died.

Emergency services were alerted at around 10.40am and an ambulance was quickly on the scene 

The woman, who has not been named, was taken straight to the emergency department at Derriford Hospital. She was identified and police say she is in her thirties and from Plymouth.

Police cordoned off the area around the car park after the incident.but this has now reopened. Level five remained closed while investigations continued.

The police have said that there are no suspicious circumstances and they will now prepare a report for the coroner.

The family have asked for privacy at this sad time.
