Woman killed in accident at paintball centre

Police are investigating the death of a 45-year-old woman at a paintball centre in Sparkwell near Ivybridge.

Officers and ambulance staff were called to the Delta Force paintball centre in Ledgate Lane at 9.25pm on Friday 28 June.

The woman who has not been named, was a member of staff. She became trapped while unloading wooden barriers from a transit van and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared by HM Coroner. Next of kin have been informed.

South Hams District Council’s environmental officers have been informed and will be conducting an investigation.
