Man left with facial injuries after unprovoked attack
Police are hunting for a group of teenagers who left a man with facial injuries after an unprovoked attack in Plymouth.
The 36-year-old man left the Masonic Inn at Stoke around 11pm on Friday 8th March and was walking home alone. When he reached Packington Street he was set upon by a group of seven men, one of whom punched him in the face knocking him to the ground. The other offenders then circled around him and all of them repeatedly kicked the victim in the body and face.
The victim, who is from Plymouth, was left with facial cuts and bruising and was treated in Derriford Hospital.
Police are now seeking the offenders, all white men aged 17 to 18, and are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the assault to contact them.
One of the offenders is described as being of average height and build. He was wearing a dark-coloured tracksuit top with light coloured patterns on the stomach, and possibly a baseball cap. A second man was wearing all dark clothing and was carrying a black rucksack.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting crime reference ED/13/1382.
