Penalty hero Reuben Reid is already looking ahead to the next challenge - taking on Saturday's Exeter City victors Morecombe.

After four goals and two straight wins against Cheltenham and Rochdale, Reid is confident that the Pilgrims will maintain the momentum in the coming weeks.

His second goal of the season was struck home after Rochdale goalkeeper Josh Lillis had fouled Reid's fellow striker Marvin Morgan.

Reid said: “A lot have people have said already that we are a threat at this level, but I don’t think we have even got started yet. Physically, we have been good, and at running, but I can’t wait until we get that bit of understanding where we’re passing well to each other; he’s dropping [the ball] to me and I’m slipping him in; and vice versa.

“It’s always a long week after a loss and it’s not a nice feeling, so it’ll be good to go into this week, knowing you have won. Hopefully we can build on that, have a good week’s training – everyone’s spirits are high – ad get ready for Morecambe.”
