Argyle set to sign defender Andre Blackman
Plymouth Argyle are putting the finishing touches to a deal for the former Celtic left-back Andre Blackman.
With the start of the season just a week away, Pilgrims manager John Sheridan has moved to seal the signature of the 21-year-old former Arsenal and Tottenham apprentice who became a free agent following his release from Celtic at the end of last season.
The contract, subject to completion of the relevant paperwork, looks likely to secure Blackman until January 2014 initially.
Plymouth will play their final pre-seaon friendly against Yeovil town on Saturday 27 July, kick-off 3.00pm, a week ahead of their opening League Two fixture at Southend United (Saturday 3 August, 3pm).
