Devils to face Sheffield

PLYMOUTH face a stiff test when they take on Sheffield in the Premier League at the St Boniface Arena on Friday evening (7.15pm), writes Graham Hambly.

The Yorkshire side were one of the early leaders in the table and have already picked up away wins in the League at Rye House and Ipswich.

But co-promoter Ashley Taylor believes the Skills Group Devils are finding their true form after beating Redcar last Friday and putting up a reasonable performance at Workington 24 hours later.

Following the match against Sheffield Plymouth will be at home to Ipswich in the League Cup group decider on May 22.

Taylor says: "There is a lot to play for in the League Cup because, if we take points off Ipswich that will mean Rye House going through to the semi-finals.

"We should not be having problems at home, so it is good that we are starting to show a bit of form because we have some strong opposition coming up in the next couple of meetings."
