Devils look to end run of home defeats
PLYMOUTH will be looking to end of run of three successive home defeats when they take on Redcar in the Premier League at the St Boniface Arena on Friday (7.15pm), writes Graham Hambly.
The Skills Group Devils will be without skipper Kyle Newman, who is on duty with his Elite League club Poole at Lakeside, but have called up Somerset’s Richie Worrall as a guest replacement.
Redcar will be without their top two riders, Lasse Bjerre and Stuart Robson, but Plymouth co-promoter Ashley Taylor says: "We are not going to single out any opponents as easy pickings, but we still believe that we have a side capable of beating any team on our own track."
Redcar have also turned to Somerset for guest replacements, bringing in the Australia duo of Brady Kurtz and Josh Grajczonek to fill the vacancies.
They have former Plymouth rider Adam Roynon making his first appearance since being injured while riding for Peterborough at the start of the season.
Completing the side will be skipper Matej Kus from the Czech Republic and Dane Jan Graversen with Rafal Konopka and Ben Morley at reserve.
Plymouth: Richie Worrall, Sam Simota, Morten Risager, Jack Holder, Ryan Fisher. Reserves: Ashley Morris, Guest (for Sam Chapman).
Redcar: Brady Kurtz, Jan Graversen, Matej Kus, Adam Roynon, Josh Grajczonek. Reserves: Rafal Konopka, Ben Morley.
