Devils take vital points at Berwick
American Ryan Fisher led the way with a paid maximum for Plymouth as they battled to a 45-45 draw in their Premier League match at Berwick on Saturday evening.
Fisher scored 13 (paid 15) from his five rides and was well supported by young Australians Todd Kurtz and Jack Holder, who each collected three wins.
The result saw the Skills Group Devils pick up their first away points of the season with two match points from an away draw. Ironically, however, the Devils dropped one place in the table after being overtaken by Workington following their 49-44 home win over Ipswich on the same evening.
So the Devils find themselves in the bottom three, but have another chance to make progress with an away match at Newcastle on Sunday evening (6.30pm).
Berwick: Richie Worrall 12+1 (6 rides), Fernando Garcia 3+2 (4), rider replacement for Claus Vissing, Thomas Jorgensen 4+1 (4), Kevin Doolan 14+1 (6). Reserves: Alex Edberg 1+1 (4), Richard Hall 11+1 (6).
Plymouth: Kyle Newman 4 (4), Jack Holder 9 (4), Ryan Fisher 13+2 (5), Todd Kurtz 10 (5), Morten Risager 3 (4). Reserves: Roland Benko 2+1 (3), Sam Simota 4+1 (5).
