Plymouth suffered an injury blow with skipper Ben Barker having to withdraw after a fall in his second outing during Tuesday’s Premier League match at Peterborough, writes Graham Hambly.

The match was abandoned because of the curfew after heat 13 with Peterborough leading 51-31. The result will stand because more than the minimum requirement of ten heats had been completed.

Overall, it was a frustrating evening for the Skills Group Devils, who managed only first place in the 13 races when Kyle Newman headed home Ales Dryml in heat 11.

Peterborough: Lasse Bjerre 12 (4 rides), Adam Roynon 7+1 (4), Richard Hall 5 (4), Ulrich Ostergaard 9 (3), Ales Dryml 9+2 (4). Reserves: Max Dilger 3 (3), Nicki Barrett 6 (4).

lymouth: Ben Barker 0 (2), Kyle Newman 8 (3), James Wright 5+1 (4), Rasmus Jensen 7+1 (3), Josef Franc 6 (4). Reserves: Roland Benko 0 (4), Sam Simota 5 (6).
