Book your place now for undergraduate open days
From Marine Science and Media to English and Economics, prospective students are invited to see the hundreds of courses on offer at Plymouth University’s undergraduate Open Days.
Due to the previous year’s overwhelming popularity, an extra date has been added for 2015 – with events taking place on Saturday 10 October and Saturday 14 November at the University’s main campus in the City Centre. Open Days are also planned for Saturday 23 April and Wednesday 22 June 2016. At all of these events, prospective students can get a real taste of learning and life in the Ocean City at one of the top five modern Universities in the UK.
The days run from 9am-4.30pm, and visitors can take part in a tour of the campus, a bus tour of the city, budgeting workshops, help and advice sessions on applications and a choice of subject-specific lectures and information sessions. A shuttle bus is also provided to the Plymouth Allied Health Centre for those interested in health professions courses, and current students will be on hand all day to answer questions about Plymouth University life.
Isobel Rossiter, Head of Student Recruitment and Admissions, said the University was looking forward to welcoming the next wave of inspired undergraduates and recommended booking places early.
“Our undergraduate Open Days are always very popular, as they contain such a variety of taster sessions, help and advice,” she said.
“Each prospective student will be given a programme detailing the times of all the course-specific talks, so everyone can plan their day accordingly. A number of talks are on more than once so you can be sure not to miss out on the areas which interest you.
“As well as academic guidance, we also offer budgeting workshops, information for mature students and even help with your personal statement to give you the best chance of a successful application.”
