Missing man from Newbury with Devon links
Thames Valley Police is continuing to appeal for information regarding the whereabouts of a missing person with links to Devon
Jonathan Hayward, aged 50, was reported missing on Saturday (16/11) from a property in Monks Lane, Newbury.
Mr Hayward is white, 5ft 7ins, of stocky build, with light brown hair and has a brown and grey beard. At the time of going missing, he was wearing a navy jumper, light blue jeans and a denim jacket.
There was a confirmed sighting of Mr Hayward at 6.30am on Sunday (17/11) at Chieveley Services. He was last seen trying to hitchhike on the M4 from a roundabout close to the service station at 6.45am.
Sgt Will Crowther, from Newbury police station, said: “I am becoming increasingly concerned for Mr Hayward’s welfare due to the amount of time he has been missing. I am also concerned about his medical condition and state of mind because he was last due to take his medication 48 hours ago.
“Without this medication his mental health is likely to deteriorate and his behaviour could become unpredictable.
“Consequently, if Mr Hayward is seen by members of the public, I would advise them not to approach him and to please contact police immediately in order for officers to check on his welfare.”
Mr Hayward has links to Reading, London, Devon and Manchester.
