Police hunt for missing Polish woman

Police are growing increasingly concerned for the safety of a missing 20-year-old Polish woman from Paignton.

They are appealing for the public’s help in tracing Magdalena Krawiec (pronounced Crab-ic) and have enlisted the help of Dartmoor Search and Rescue and the Coastguard in the search for the young woman.

Ms Krawiec is new to the area having only arrived in the UK on Sunday (12 May). She was last seen on CCTV leaving the place she was staying in Paignton at 8pm on Tuesday 14 May 2013.

Police and family members grew increasingly concerned for her welfare after she failed to turn up for work.

Magdalena is described as 5ft 10, white European, of slim build with short brown hair. She was last seen wearing grey, tight-fitting jeans or leggings, a black top and a black leather or PVC coat. She was also carrying a shoulder bag, which may have been green, and was wearing black shoes and white socks.

Anyone who sees her or knows of her whereabouts is asked to call police on 101, quoting log 232 of 15 May 2013.
