Part of FLOURISH 2014

"Imagine someone told you a story, a story so real, so detailed that the story became your world, and your world, no matter how small, became apart of that story. The narrative of this story has power over your life. It's future. Your future."

After a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe, New Model Theatre bring their critically acclaimed show Static to the Barbican Theatre, Plymouth.

"A clever script, with a sterling performance. Phenomenal talent." - The Guardian

"New Model Theatre is a young company that already impresses." - Exeunt magazine

Static brings together brillant story telling with verbatim news reports to tell a coming of age story that spans a decade. From watching the World Trade Centre fall live on television to the top of Tory HQ in 2010's summer of discontent; through talking to girls at drunken teenage parties and coming home with bloody noses.

Written partly in response to the student demonstrations of recent years, it asks what it takes for a generation so comfortable interacting from behind a screen to open their doors and get out on the street.

New Model Theatre create fast paced, exciting theatre for modern audiences. Static is NMT's second show and toured to Exeter, Manchester, Camden and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals in 2013.
