Funds raised for children’s sensory room

Visitors to last year’s Christmas Grotto in the Drake Circus shopping centre have helped to raise nearly £3,000 for the children’s ward at Derriford Hospital.

The money was raised from a percentage of the ticket sales for the Grotto and a Christmas jumper day supported by many of the stores in the shopping centre and will be used by the Children’s Happy Hospital Fund towards a sensory room on Woodcock Ward.

Rachel Stephens from Drake Circus presented the cheque for £2,952 to representatives of the Children’s Happy Hospital Fund.
