Pedestrian dies after collision with car

Police are investigating after a woman died following a collision near Yelverton.

At approximately 11.20pm on Friday 28 November 2014 a collision occurred on the A386 at the junction with the minor road leading to Yelverton Golf Club.

A black Honda Civic was travelling from Yelverton towards Plymouth when it was in collision with a female pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a woman aged 58 from the Yelverton area, sadly died of her injuries. Her next of kin have been informed although formal ID has not been carried out.

The male driver of the car was treated for shock.

Any witnesses to the incident or who saw the black Honda Civic prior to the collision are asked to contact the Devon & Cornwall Police on 101 quoting log number 951 of 28th November.
