Man, 22, from Saltash killed in A38 crash
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died following a road traffic collision on the A38 southbound at Chudleigh, near Newton Abbot.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the fatal collision, involving a single vehicle, which happened just past the petrol station shortly after 12.15am on Wednesday 16 September.
The 22-year-old male driver of the silver Ford Focus, from Saltash, suffered serious head injuries following a collision with a tree and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver’s family have been informed.
The road was closed while officers from the Serious Collisions Investigation Unit carried out a forensic examination of the scene.
