Police team net charity cash

Members of the Devon & Cornwall Police netball team based at the Middlemoor headquarters in Exeter, visited Children’s Hospice South West’s Devon hospice recently to present a cheque for £1000.

The money was raised as a result of a series of fundraising activities, including a race night, raffle and quiz, to support the Police National Netball Championships PSUK (Police Support UK) which was held last year at Exeter University.

The championships involved 28 teams from across the UK, and the Devon & Cornwall team were keen to fundraise for local charities. The amount raised over the weekend was split equally between Children’s Hospice South West and Devon Air Ambulance, and three members of the team visited the Little Bridge House hospice in North Devon to present a cheque to CHSW Chief Executive, Eddie Farwell.
