Last call for the toughest cycling challenge in town
The latest, greatest, muddiest cycling challenge of the year is under starter’s orders as St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth makes a last call for the 2015 Tour de Moor.
Hundreds of intrepid mountain bike fans have already signed up for the leisurely 11km, intermediate 30km or a hard 52km off road cycle of mud, sweat and tears on 11 October but registration is about to close.
Emma Winter, St Luke’s Event Fundraiser said, “We’ve already heard from cyclists training for October 11 that the 52km route is proving a real challenge. Whether they are doing 11, 30 or 52km I can’t wait to welcome them over the finish line – taking part is a real achievement.”
This year’s event, sponsored by ITEC and Stem Group, starts and finishes from Harrowbeer Airfield, near Yelverton from 8.30am. The last day to sign up is midnight on Sunday, 4 October so anyone wishing to take part needs to get their details to the hard-working local charity as soon as possible.
