Cricketing legend Freddie Flintoff is hitting the road for his 2nd Innings tour and has chosen to donate all proceeds from a meet-and-greet event after his Plymouth show to The Children’s Society.

Freddie will be performing at Plymouth Pavilions on 25 October at 8pm. Ticket buyers can meet the cricket star for an additional £25 and the money raised will go towards helping disadvantaged children supported by the leading children’s charity.

The tour is in celebration of the 10-year anniversary of Freddie’s 2005 Ashes victory and he will be joined live on stage by comedy writer Clyde Holcroft for a hilarious evening recalling tales of changing room banter and behind-the-scene truths from Freddie’s successful career.

The Children’s Society has supported over 10,000 under-5s across their children’s centres in Devon and Bournemouth over the past year and also runs a project in Torbay called CheckPoint, which provides support to young people, including those who have run away, or are suffering from substance misuse.

Gary Thomas, South West Area Director for The Children’s Society said: “We are honoured that Freddie has generously chosen to donate the proceeds from his meet and greet in Plymouth to help our work improving the lives of children in this region and across the country.”
