Plymouth business finalist in Venus Awards
Lisa Battershill is enjoying the journey of being nominated for customer service and inspirational woman in business with the Devon Venus Awards. The mum of five and grandma to 9 has had Cake and bubbly at Exeter Guildhall canopies and Prosecco at Plymouth Science Park, Afternoon tea at Saunton Sand's Hotel and a ball at Exeter University, meeting inspirational, amazing local women along the way. 'From being told that I could no longer work in my job as a Team Leader in a community palliative care team after being hospitalized with a life changing illness, to being chosen as a finalist for Devon Venus Awards- AKA 'The working Woman's Oscars as Entrepreneur of the Year for setting up and running a successful Foot Care Business, called Feet Fixers in just five years since that devastating news. From having Zero customers to nearly 2000 registered customers in this short time and a large online following, with amazing customers. Everyday I go to work grateful for that bad news, because without it i wouldn't have met my amazing customers, who have encouraged and supported me along the journey, from then to now.'
