Mortgages4Plymouth raise over £1,000 for Gold Dust Appeal
A big thank you goes to the owners and employees of Mortgages4Plymouth for their generous donation of more than £1,000.00 for our Gold Dust Appeal.
Tricia Kennedy and partner Anne Marie Reilly, who run Mortgages4Plymouth decided to make a £1,000.00 donation from the company and to collect money from staff members after a visit to the Level 12 children’s wards at Derriford Hospital. In total £1081.71 has been donated – with more promised.
The Gold Dust Appeal aims to raise £100,000 to create bright, exciting and welcoming wards for local children and young people at Plymouth Hospitals. We want to be able to care for children in a stimulating and sensitive environment with bright and spacious surroundings, which will provide greater comfort and privacy for children and their families
. Tricia said: “This is not the end – we plan to keep on fundraising. One of the reasons we decided to donate to Gold Dust is because we provide critical illness cover to help ease the financial impact it has when a child or parent is diagnosed with a life threatening condition. When it does it is vital that they receive the best care.”
Anita Dykes, Matron for Paediatrics, said: “This is a significant donation, made even more generous by the fact that Tricia and Anne Marie plan to continue fundraising for Gold Dust. I would like to thank them and all their staff very much as this will really help us to reach our goal.”
