The Musketeers comes to Ridgeway School
Swordfights, adventures, balloon crashes, love at first sight, more swordfights, and that’s just one scene.
Ridgeway School Company presents their brand new, wholly original, never before seen school musical “The Musketeers!”
With over sixty students from across the school taking part this is a real labour of love from the Ridgeway Performing Arts team.
The Musketeers has been scripted by teachers Peter Griffiths and Simon Turley and the music composed by music teacher Kristy Marcer.
Listen in awe to songs of sadness, excitement and occasional stupidity that will take you on a globetrotting adventure through the streets of Paris, across the ocean to Ireland and through the skies to Madrid.
Watch with baited breath as D’Artagnan and the brave Musketeers battle to save the honour of the French Queen and foil the nefarious plots of the evil Cardinal Richelieu!
This theatrical masterpiece promises to be a swashbuckling treat for the whole family. Performances take place in Ridgeway School’s main hall on 9/10/11/12 February at 7:30pm. Tickets cost £3 and are available from the school reception.
“It’s fantastic to see so many of our students and staff get involved in this production. Everyone from behind the scenes, to the musicians and the actors all work so hard to put on a great show,” said Principal Lisa Boorman.
