Little by little the Tudor estate of Cotehele, near Saltash, is emerging from its winter break.

While the garden and wider estate are open all year round and the Edgcumbe tea-room on Cotehele Quay has been open since the New Year, the beginning of half-term on Saturday 11 February marks the re-opening of the National Trust shop and Barn Restaurant as well as the launch of a new exhibition in the Gallery. The house and mill will re-open on 11 March.

‘The team at Cotehele have been busy behind the scenes preparing the estate for another wonderful year for our visitors,’ says Cotehele Gallery Organiser Allison Cowen.

‘Our ‘Home from Home’ exhibition featuring Roy Thedvall and Joan Bose, will also include handmade mirrors, clocks, wallpaper and porcelain by British and West Country artists. We’re also really pleased to present beautiful paper-cut lamps from Hannah Nunn and creative resin-topped furniture from Nick Macrory, both new artists to us.’
