Torrington Post Office opens at nearby store

Torrington Post Office moved to Gilletts SPAR, 13 High Street, Torrington, EX38 8HN yesterday (Tuesday 30) with extended opening hours.

It is a new-style local branch with Post Office service provided from two open-plan counters alongside the retail counter of the convenience store.

The new opening hours are Monday - Sunday: 8am – 8pm.

This means that the branch is open an extra 52 hours of Post Office service a week including all-day Sunday morning and Saturday afternoon. The branch also opens significantly earlier and closes later every day. These changes make it more convenient for customers to visit.

The previous branch at 7 High Street, Torrington, closed with the Postmaster’s agreement on Monday 29 April.

Torrington Post Office will be delighted to welcome customers to the new location. Local residents and small business customers can access a wide range of Post Office and mails services, including Special Delivery, Local Collect, home shopping returns, online banking cash deposits and withdrawals. Other services include Post Office Card Account withdrawals, sending funds abroad using Moneygram, and customers can also pay bills, pre-order travel money, apply for travel insurance and top up mobile phones.
