Top corporate and media lawyers launch at PSP

Two top regional lawyers have teamed up to create a new law firm focused on corporate, commercial, media and intellectual property law.

Tim Jackman and Duncan White have chosen the prestigious Plymouth Science Park as their South West base.

With almost 40 years’ experience working for top London and regional law firms, as well as one of the country’s largest television and digital media production companies, Jackman and White have now set up their own practice to undertake corporate finance deals and media work.

Both directors have exceptionally impressive CVs.

Prior to becoming the first Director of Legal and Business Affairs at the multi-award winning Plymouth based Twofour Group, Tim led the top rated Bond Pearce, now Womble Bond Dickinson, south west corporate finance team.

During his time at Bond Pearce he advised ambitious management teams on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity investment, restructurings, exit plans and a raft of commercial arrangements. He was involved in some of the biggest transactions in the region.

At Twofour he was involved in all legal aspects of the company’s growth to become a leading TV production company and content and communications agency prior to its sale to ITV.

Duncan, who is a member of the Royal Television Society, began his legal career at Bond Dickinson, now Womble Bond Dickinson, before going on to spend five years as in-house counsel at Twofour where he was part of the group’s worldwide expansion.

He has considerable experience of advising on the development, financing and production of television and digital media projects, as well as dealing with a range of intellectual property and commercial issues.

Both Tim and Duncan are credited as experts in their respective fields in the Legal 500, the legal industry guide to top lawyers.

They have the benefit of a strong network of longstanding clients and professional contacts from their previous work and aim to continue to develop those long-term relationships with existing and new clients generally across the south west and the television and wider media sectors nationally.
