Rainbow pebble cheers health staff
Every element of the NHS is under pressure at the moment, so when members of staff at Peninsula NHS Treatment Centre spotted a pebble painted with a rainbow in a planter near the hospital’s entrance, it brought a smile to everyone’s faces.
Mark White, Hospital Director at Peninsula NHS Treatment Centre, commented: “We spotted the pebble and it really raised our spirits. We don’t know who left it there, but it is an amazing and greatly appreciated gesture.”
During the COVID-19 crisis, clinical and administrative teams at Peninsula NHS Treatment Centre are supporting colleagues at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust (UHP) by opening operating theatres to a wide range of surgical specialties, running clinics from the Outpatient Department and offering MRI services. There are 30 hospital beds at the disposal of UHP if required.
