Old Holne Bridge to be closed for repairs

Urgent repairs are to be carried out to Old Holne Bridge between Poundsgate and Ashburton during the upcoming half term week.

The road is scheduled to be closed from Monday 21 February until Friday 25 February, to allow the parapet of the Grade II Listed bridge to be rebuilt after it was struck by a vehicle.

A second bridge nearby, the Grade II Listed Newbridge at Holne, has also been damaged recently and will undergo repairs during the same closure.

A signed diversion will be in place from Newbridge Holne to Two Bridges, Mortonhampsted, Drum Bridges, Bickington Road, Goodstone Cross, A38 to Peartree Junction and then C578 to Old Holne.

The work will be carried out by contractor Marine & Civil Solutions.
