Allison Homes South West hosts its first Job Swap Day

Local housebuilder Allison Homes South West has hosted the group’s first ever Job Swap Day, giving its colleagues an opportunity to try their hand at almost any position in the company.

From working on-site, to within the sales department, colleagues were empowered to gain insight an experience in an alternative career for the day, and learn more about the breadth of career opportunities available to them within the company.

Matt Bennett, Managing Director of Allison Homes South West, commented: “At Allison Homes, we’re committed to supporting our colleagues’ career development, and their collective experience will prove invaluable to support our ambitious plans to build 15 new sites across the region in the next two years.

“We hope our colleagues enjoyed being able to gain new skills and try their hand at a different career, whilst understanding the pressures experienced across the organisation, and we look forward to seeing how they apply what they learned.”

Allison Homes South West’s Technical Director, Ian MacMartin swapped to experience life as a Sales Manager for the day.

Speaking about his experience, Ian said: “The event offered my colleagues and I a valuable and unique opportunity to experience a different job within the business for the day. I really enjoyed working alongside the Sales team.

“Opportunities like this only bring our team closer together, and highlight how each and every member of the Allison Homes South West team contributes to the thriving success of the wider company.”
