Devon and Cornwall-wide Awareness-Raising Roadshow
One of the UK’s largest producers of wood pellets and briquettes has been hitting the road this summer to raise awareness of their work - and to hand out free samples of their high- quality products.
Gary Duckworth, Transport Operations Manager, and Peter Rockell, Delivery Specialist, both employed at Land Energy, have already attended the Liskeard and Stithians Shows and they’re just getting started!
David Bone, Marketing Representative at Land Energy, said: “A lot of people haven’t heard of Land Energy, even though we’re one of the UK’s biggest wood pellet manufacturers. We’ve got depots in Chester, Lincoln, Okehampton, Penrith, and Ripon, plus an engineering office in North Yorkshire, and our production plant is up in South Ayrshire, Scotland.
“What really sets us apart is how we operate. Our factory is completely self-sufficient, powered by a combined heat and power furnace. All the wood we use is sourced within 80 miles of the plant, wood that would otherwise go to waste, and we plant more trees than we use. It’s a genuinely sustainable cycle.”
Gary Duckworth added: “Peter and I have loved getting out and about, chatting with people from across Devon and Cornwall. The response has been brilliant so far. If you see us at a show, come and say hello and don’t forget to grab a free sample of one of our products!”
Gary and Peter plan to attend shows at Camborne, Mid-Devon, Woolsery, North-Devon, Okehampton, Chagford and finally Holsworthy on 28th of August, before planning for events in the autumn and winter commences.
Land Energy is widely recognised for its high-quality, environmentally sustainable wood pellets, briquettes, cat litter, and horse bedding. The company processes around 100,000 tonnes of timber annually - wood that would otherwise go to waste—transforming it into valuable, eco-friendly products.
