Keyham Green Places Community Centre Hosts Family Fun Day

Plymouth residents are invited to a fun-filled family celebration as the Keyham Green Places Community Centre hosts a Family Fun Day on Saturday, 26th July 2025, from 11am to 3pm at 163 Renown Street, Keyham, Plymouth PL2 2DT, directly across from Alexandra Park.

The event promises a lively day of fun, food, and family-friendly activities, and will be officially opened by Luke Pollard,MP who will also take part in a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Keyham Story Shed.

Enjoy a packed programme including:

  • Cake stall
  • Craft fair & tabletop sales
  • Raffle prizes
  • Ice cream van & fish and chip van
  • Plant sales
  • FREE children’s activities
  • The grand opening of the 1st Keyham St Marks Scouts’ Keyham Story Shed, with storytelling, crafts, and puppetry shows

Highlights of the Day:

Gardens: Explore our beautiful gardens, walk the heritage forest path, and browse the plant sale.

FREE Kids’ Activities:

  • Play Park & scavenger hunt
  • Keyham Story Shed: storytelling by the Plymouth Children’s Book Group and 1st Keyham St Marks Scouts - Squirrels
  • Special author visit: Samantha Webb
  • Puppet shows: Inspire Theatre Collective & Samantha Webb
  • Crafts, lawn games, and chalk art gallery

Food & Refreshments: Local vendors will offer delicious treats including fish and chips, ice cream, and more.

Stalls: Arts & crafts, cakes, tombola, face painting, toys and clothes, and a raffle with amazing locally donated prizes.

The Keyham Green Places Family Fun Day is FREE and open to the public. Everyone is welcome to join the festivities and enjoy the beauty of our community gardens.

Our mission is to develop educational, recreational, and social activities that enhance the quality of life and build social cohesion within the Keyham neighbourhood. The gardens surrounding the centre provide a welcoming space to relax and a safe play area for young children.
