Knife point robbery outside Travelodge

Police are appealing for witnesses to a robbery that occurred outside the Travelodge, in Derrys Cross, Plymouth at approximately 11.30pm on Thursday 28th March.

 

The victim, who was visiting Plymouth, left the train station and walked to North Cross roundabout where he asked a man and woman for directions to the Travelodge.

The man offered to walk the victim to the Travelodge but then grabbed the victim’s wallet and threatened him with a blade. The victim gave chase but was again threatened and so backed off.

 

The wallet contained £80 in cash.

The alleged robber is described as white, 30 years old, 6’0 tall, of medium build and with stubble. He was wearing jeans, a green jacket or body-warmer with a grey hooded top underneath with the hood up and was carrying a black rucksack with a sleeping bag attached. The woman was wearing a high visibility jacket.

Police report that both individuals stated that they had been removed from a funeral after causing a disturbance.
