Fire crews attend building fire in Mannamead

Fire crews and two fire appliances - from Greenbank and - Camelshead attended a building fire in Mannamead today (Monday 24 June)

The fire was confirmed to be in the kitchen of a third floor flat in Thorn Park and was reported at around 11am.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue say their crews used four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, and one safety jet to extinguish the fire. Two thermal imaging cameras and a snake eye camera were used to identify hotspots.

The fire has caused severe damage to the kitchen.

It is understood no one was injured in the incident.
