Lisicki and Bartoli through to Wimbledon women's final
Wimbledon's women's singles final will be contested by Germany's Sabine Lisicki and Marion Bartoli of France.
Bartoli, the number 15 seed emphatically beat the Belgian Kirsten Flipkens 6-1 6-2 in the first of Thursday's semi-finals. Flipkens, seeded 20, was unable to find any form and suffered a knee problem during the match.
The 28-year-old Bartoli will play her second Wimbledon final on Saturday. She lost to Venus Williams in 2007, her only Grand Slam event final to date.
The other semi-final proved to be a tense and exciting encounter. Lisicki eventually overcame the Polish fourth seed Agnieszka Radwanska 6-4 2-6 9-7 in a match that had echoes of the ebb and flow of the German's shock victory over Serena Williams in the fourth round.
Despite Radwanska's considerable guile, Lisicki's power eventually proved to be decisive, with the Wimbledon crowd seemingly falling for the likeable and spirited 23-year-old number 23 seed.
The remaining four men - Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, Jerzy Janowicz and Juan Martin del Potro - will go head to head in their semi-finals on Friday (5 July). The winners will contest Sunday's final.
