British Firework Championships all set to illuminate Plymouth's skies
The internationally renowned British Firework Championships will once again be blazing a trail from Plymouth’s waterfront today and tomorrow evening (13 and 14 August).
The event returns with six professional firework companies battling it out to be the 'Champion of Champions'.
Delivered in partnership with the Event Services Association (TESA), the event celebrates its 17th anniversary in 2013. The British Firework Championships is one of the biggest annual displays put on by professional firework companies anywhere in the UK.
The 'Champion of Champions' competition - held over from 2012 due to last year's poor weather conditions - looks set to be one of the best yet as the last six winners go head-to-head to win the exclusive crown.
Overall, more than four tonnes of fireworks will light up the skies as the country’s top pyrotechnics companies battle it out for the coveted national title.
