Plympton Library is launching an exciting new project for 11 to 19-year-olds who love writing, performing music, reading and the arts.

HeadSpace Plympton will offer free sessions every week, including film making, meeting authors, movie nights, crafts, dance, music, songwriting, fashion, photography, poetry workshops, Manga comics and more. There will also be opportunities to volunteer and gain a national accreditation award.

Delivered by librarians and youth workers in partnership, this will be the third young people's library space in Plymouth. It is part of a network of Headspace projects in England that aim to get young people into the library, involved in their local community and having fun, as well as improve literacy and learning.

The first session will take place from 3.30pm to 5pm on Thursday 26 September. Everyone is welcome to go along, meet other young people with similar interests and find out more about the project and future sessions. Exclusive books will be given away and free refreshments will be available.

For more information call 01752 305630 or email plympton.library@plymouth.gov.uk.
