Magical moments at Mount Edgcumbe

It’s not just tinsel, baubles and fairy lights that will be shining brightly at Mount Edgcumbe this Christmas.

Visitors to the Christmas Fayre on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 December will be able to step back in time to a bygone era and enjoy a Victorian Magic Lantern Show.

This captivating and mysteriously beautiful form of entertainment was a treat enjoyed by our ancestors over 150 years ago, before cinema was invented.

Bartley's Magic Lanterns Company will be holding a series of 20-minute performances on both days in the Barrow Centre.

Admission is free but donations will be invited to help fund restoration projects at the park.
